How to Play 4D in Malaysia
New to Malaysian 4D? Start with the result board, learn what each prize means and understand the difference between straight and permutation numbers.
Every digit matters.
So does its position.
4D numbers run from 0000 to 9999. Leading zeroes are part of the number.
Read the number in exact order
A standard 4D result has four digits. For a straight-number forecast, the digits must appear in exactly the same order on the published result.
For example, 0426 does not match 0246 on a straight forecast. Go4D keeps leading zeroes when showing results and number histories.
Know the five prize categories
A complete standard Malaysian 4D result board contains 23 prize positions, published separately by each operator and draw date.
Diagram shows prize positions only; no example is presented as a winning draw. Da Ma Cai calls Special prizes “Starter”. Jackpot, 5D, 6D and Lotto boards are separate games.
Big and Small are different forecasts
For a standard RM1 first-prize straight forecast, the published Big payout is RM2,500 and Small is RM3,500. These are gross prize amounts, not profit. Da Ma Cai also publishes special dead-heat settlement rules.
What does permutation mean?
A straight number follows one exact order. A permutation is a different arrangement of those digits. The total depends on how often digits repeat.
Four identical digits have just one arrangement. Products such as Magnum mBox and Sports Toto i-Perm may cover multiple arrangements but use their own payout rules. A normal straight ticket does not automatically cover all permutations.
Check the operator, date and result status
Magnum, Sports Toto and Da Ma Cai hold separate draws. Always check which operator issued the ticket and whether the matching draw is verified. Go4D distinguishes verified results from provisional or incomplete updates; a missing result is not proof of a losing ticket.
Go4D does not issue tickets, accept bets, validate claims or predict future winning numbers. Always verify prize eligibility directly with the issuing operator.
Frequently asked questions
What does 4D mean?
4D means a four-digit number, from 0000 to 9999. The order matters for a straight-number result; 0063 is different from 0630.
What are the first three prizes?
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize numbers appear separately at the top of a standard result board. Small forecast applies to these three positions only.
What do Special and Consolation mean?
The ordinary Malaysian 4D result board also publishes ten Special (Da Ma Cai: Starter) and ten Consolation numbers. They are covered by Big, not Small, straight forecast.
Does a number being frequent make it more likely next time?
No. Historical appearances are descriptive and cannot reliably predict an independent future draw.
